Max Frey is the Chief Operating Officer at THG. Since joining the company in 2013, Max leverages his deep industry experience, close work with customers, and thorough knowledge of THG’s products to help shape the company’s evolving offerings. He is passionate about solving complex problems and creating wins for THG’s network of clients and partners. Outside of work, Max enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, playing golf and tennis, and enjoying good food—especially in nice weather. If you’ve ever visited THG’s Austin office, you’ve likely met his golden retriever, Calvin, who has been coming to the office with Max nearly every day since 2014. Max holds a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Trinity University and earned his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Cole brings over 20 years of experience leading and scaling teams in complex environments, including a decade of service in the U.S. Army. He thrives in ambiguity, often stepping into undefined roles to build structure, drive outcomes, and enable others through systems and communication. Cole lives in southwest Colorado with his wife, two children, and two dogs, taking full advantage of the mountains and outdoors. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Colorado Boulder and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Jordan Wheeler is the Product Director at THG, where he leads both hardware and software development. Jordan began his career at THG in 2014 as an applications engineer tasked with performing energy efficiency facility reviews and interfacing with electric devices and meters at those facilities to perform real time metering and energy curtailment. He utilizes his on-the-ground experience to effectively manage THG’s development initiatives to create products that offer meaningful benefit to our customers. In his off time, Jordan enjoys building furniture and riding motorcycles as well as searching local thrift shops for classic movies. Jordan holds a B.S. with a Mechanical Concentration from Oral Roberts University and an M.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

Todd Sobocinski is THG’s Managing Director of Information Security & Technology, leading IT operations and governance to ensure security, reliability, and compliance for all data and technical resources throughout the organization. With three decades of experience managing IT systems across several data-driven industries, he thrives on collaboration and continuous learning to drive the technical strategies used by our teams for the safety and integrity of your data within our products, operations, and analytics. He also delights in researching arcane technical concepts and explaining them in ways everyone can understand. A Michigan native, Todd moved to Austin with his wife and two kids in 2011 and joined THG in 2014. Offline, he enjoys activities from billiards to yoga but is most fond of running, reading, and appreciating good food and drink with his family and friends. He holds a B.S.E. in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan.
